Sciatica Pain? Let’s Treat the Cause — Not Just the Symptoms.

Get long-lasting relief with expert massage therapy that targets the root of your discomfort, restores balance, and helps you move freely again.

If you’re suffering from sciatica — the deep, persistent pain that radiates from your lower back down your leg — you know just how much it can affect your daily life. It can undermine your ability to move, work, and enjoy the things you love. That’s where a holistic and pain-relieving massage service can make all the difference. My approach focuses not just on symptoms, but on addressing the underlying muscle tension, imbalances, and movement patterns that contribute to your sciatica.

Understanding Sciatica — And Why It Happens

Sciatica is not a condition in itself — it’s a symptom of an underlying issue affecting the sciatic nerve, the longest and thickest nerve in your body. This nerve runs from your lower back, through the hips and glutes, and down each leg. When something compresses, irritates, or inflames the sciatic nerve or the structures around it, you can experience radiating pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness along its path — often into the buttock, thigh, calf, or even the foot.

Common causes include tight muscles, bulging or herniated spinal discs, joint dysfunction in the lower back or pelvis, postural imbalances that place continuous strain on specific muscles. Muscle weakness or overcompensation, especially in the core, hips, and lower limbs. Scar tissue or adhesions from previous injury or surgery and even prolonged sitting or inactivity.

In many cases, sciatica develops slowly, with people ignoring low-level discomfort until it becomes more severe. Sometimes it flares suddenly after a particular movement, injury, or even during periods of stress or overexertion.

A Whole-Body, Root-Cause Approach to Sciatica

This is not a generic massage. It’s a fully tailored, clinical treatment that combines deep tissue release with advanced movement assessment. As a qualified Sports Massage Practitioner and Level 3 Personal Trainer, I address both the muscular tension and the movement imbalances that keep sciatica coming back.

Here’s what we’ll do together:

  • Release tight muscles compressing the sciatic nerve (glutes, piriformis, hamstrings, lower back)

  • Identify and correct dysfunctional movement patterns

  • Address muscle weakness and overcompensation

  • Help your nervous system relax and reduce chronic tension

  • Give you practical, actionable strategies to reduce recurrence

What to Expect in Your Session

Every session begins with a clear assessment of how your body is moving and where dysfunction may be showing up. You’ll be fully supported in a private, non-judgmental environment — with every step explained.

Treatment may include:

  • Deep tissue and trigger point therapy

  • Myofascial release

  • Gentle nerve decompression techniques

  • Postural observation and movement education

  • Use of 3D anatomy software to visualise what’s going on

This is your time, your space, and your treatment — built around you.

Don’t let sciatica control your life. With the right treatment and support, you can move confidently, rest comfortably, and start living without fear of flare-ups.
